Evaluative Research Presentation

Here's our evaluative research presentation. We interviewed 3 users. First, we walked them through our scenarios to give them an understanding how our application Markit works. Second, we asked them to perform 3 tasks on our paper prototypes. Third, we performed a short debriefing interview with them.
Overall we got good feedback and as a next step we are refining our concept based on user suggestions. We will also proceed with developing the visual design of Markit.

Generative Research - Shopping Journals

Being in the middle of the generative research phase, we are about to get the results of the journal study back. We distributed 4 journals to users, each of them being in different phases of his/her life: we have one young professional, one grad student, one PhD student, and one professional participating. We are excited to see the results.
Here's the PDF of our shopping journal.

We are design students interested in people's consumer choices.

Where do you shop in your neighborhood, and how do you choose what to buy? Your thoughts will help us design a context-aware learning tool.

Thanks!

WCWM looooves Post-Its

On Saturday we made an affinity diagram of the ideas that came out of our previous brainstorming sessions. I think we're making headway in defining our areas of interest, but it was a lengthy process.

We also have a new team name—We Can, We Must—derived from Chris' friends' band name. WCWM has the added benefit of being the intials of our first names: Wei, Chris, Wiebke, Marina.
